while, recently, Schuck, claimed a different space group of F 4̄ 3m that lacks inversion symmetry in their XRD study at room temperature [G. Schuck, S. M. Kazakov, K. Rogacki, N. D. Zhigadlo, and J. Karpinski, Phys. Rev. B PRBMDO 0163-1829 10.1103/PhysRevB.73.144506 73, 144506 (2006)]. We carefully reexamined the crystal structure using a high-quality crystal and came to a conclusion that Fd 3̄ m is the most probable space group for K Os2 O6 at room temperature as well as at low temperatures below Tp, in spite of the fact that we observed some forbidden reflections due to double diffractions. We also confirmed this result by using the convergent beam electron diffraction and Raman scattering techniques that are known to be sensitive to the symmetry of a crystal.
