    • In principal, a catalytic amount of DBU is enough to drive the reaction, but we employed the stoichiometric amount of DBU to obtain good yields because the reactivity mainly depends on the substrates. When 10 mol-% of silver acetate and 10 mol-% of DBU were used, 2b was obtained in 86% yield, whereas only a trace amount of 2g was produced.

    • Unfortunately, the present method was not applicable to primary or secondary propargylic alcohols for their conversion into the corresponding cyclic products
