This is the first prospective randomized study to look at antibiotic prophylaxis versus surveillance and prompt treatment of recurrent UTI in patients with lowgrade VUR, and demonstrates that there is no significant difference between the two groups in terms of recurrence of UTI, APN, or development of renal scarring.
