Laparoendosc Adv Surg Tech A 2006; 16:650-653. This is the largest single-center study evaluating the use of laparoscopic contralateral groin exploration with data collected prospectively over an 11-year period. Data presented demonstrate that physical exam under anesthesia is of limited value.
