    • No shifts were observed in the wavelengths of fluorescence peaks emitted from self-assemblies (shown in Fig. S6 in SIF) by changing the concentrations of 1 and 2 from 0.9 mM: 0.1 mM to 0.4 mM: 0.6 mM, respectively Individual microscopic observation of self-assemblies using a micro-channel structure has drawn recent interest. And the field flow fractionation method has been reported as an effective sorting technique for separating self-assemblies. For example

    • The reason why the dispersion medium for the sorting experiment is changed from a triethanolamine-HCl buffered solution to a NaCl saline solution is as follows. A triethanolamine solution interferes in an HPLC analysis on the sorted vesicular dispersion by hiding these peaks behind a tail of its peak or by lowering the separation of peaks of components. Although the morphological change (appearance of non-lamella aggregates) occurs faster in a saline solution than in a buffered solution of a triethanolamine salt, the time course in a saline solution gives rise to a similar result in a buffered solution by flow cytometric analysis
