    • In his reply, Dworkin construes the point about power as applying only to the distribution of influence, and he responds that 'influence' is just a "technical term" for him (ELH, p. 196). But, as I noted in my article, what he says in Sovereign Virtue is that "impact and influence" are "the two modes of power" (p. 199), and that his theory allows a "limited place for equality of impact but none for equality of influence" (p. 200).
