Systematic uncertainties on event rates can arise from uncertainties in the structure functions, QCD corrections, tau tagging efficiency etc. The two most relevant guideposts from the Tevatron are a multitau cross section measurement of σ ṡ Br (Z → τ τ) = 264 ± 23 (stat) ± 14 (syst) ± 15 (lumi) pb (CDF Collaboration, A. Abulencia et al., FERMILAB-PUB-07-025E, Phys. Rev. D, in press) and large-mass-strong-production measurements of σ (t over(t, ̄)) = 7.3 ± 0.5 (stat) ± 0.6 (syst) pb. for CDF and D0 Collaborations. hep-ex/0605045 In both cases, as in ours, the systematics (∼ 10 % or less) tend to be smaller than the statistical uncertainty
