    • Exposure of toluene solutions of B(C6F5) 3 in a sealable NMR tube to 4 aim high purity H2 showed NMR signals attributable to free B(C6F5)3 and a lesser amount of (H2O)B(C6F5)3, which was confirmed by independent generation. These observations are consistent with the ability of borane to scavenge trace amounts of water in the absence of other donors
