We have verified that the consideration of zinc alkoxide dimers as catalytic species expressed by the kinetic steps (I) A, Z, RR → R, RR, II) A, Z, SS → S, SS, and (III) A, Z, RS → 0.5S, 0.5R, RS instead of steps 2 and 3 of the core model can lead to very similar simulation results as presented in our current study
