The inclusion in the Law Commission's Seventh Programme, Law Com No. 259 (1999) of Item 8: Electronic Commerce is certainly to be welcomed, as is the fact that the Law Commission is addressing some of these issues in the context of work on sale and carriage of goods, and on associated banking and insurance transactions
