note
-
Unequilibrated meteoritic materials have not experienced substantial diffusion of atoms between components, usually due to heating, that causes phases such as olivine to have the same elemental composition. The wide range of Fe/Mg ratios in Wild 2 olivine as well as the Ni content of Sulfides show that the comet is at least as unequilibrated as the very rare and least equilibrated meteorites.
