    • In general, it is hard to seek the generic form of all rank-2 SEBs in the multiqubit space, because too many parameters appear as the number of parties increases. We will apply the theory of entangled bases to the characterization of five-qubit entanglement in a posterior work.

    • Notice that we do not require the subsystem of any two (three, four,...) parties is entangled. Different from the traditional techniques of entanglement detection focusing on the bipartite states such as the entanglement witness, our method is practical in the sense that it detects the pure multiqubit entangled state merely by checking the rank of the reduced density operator of every subsystem in the state. Generally by arbitrary bipartition of the system, one can turn a multipartite state into a bipartite one whose entanglement can be detected by entanglement witness.
