    • Oxide-terminated Si quantum dots can be made well-passivated to give broadly tunable, size-dependent PL (red to ultraviolet) that is stable in ambient. The samples discussed here remain stable after over two years. The synthesis and characterization of these quantum dots is described by H. W. H. Lee and G. R. Delgado (in preparation)
