    • An important caveat in representing the magnitude and mechanistic importance of the excited-state nuclear distortions is that the extent of electron-nuclear coupling as determined by the total Huang-Rhys factor (total 5) is nonetheless quite small for the chlorosome, on the order of 0.20.3. This means that although nuclear motion is certainly driven in the excited state, the ground-to-excited-state displacements are relatively weak compared to, for example, the rhodopsin system.
