17. For (S)-2, a positive shoulder in the short wavelength region was reasonably reproduced by the TDDFT calculation at the B3LYP/6-31G* basis set. For (S)-1, calculation by the same method also afforded a positive shoulder in the same region, but its band shape was delicately influenced by the conformation and the basis sets.
