    • The distance between the terminal sulfur atoms was calculated using HyperChem 6.0. It was assumed that the peptides adopt a helical structure with dihedral angles ω = 180°, φ = -58°, and Ψ = -47°. In the case of alkanedithiols, ae assumed an all-trans conformation of alkyl chain, and the bond lengths (in Å) used in these calculations were S-C = 1.79 and C-C = 1.54.
