    • Note that deviation of a liquid's viscosity from its presumed inverse dependence on the diffusion coefficient, as determined by different techniques, is also seen as deviation from the Debye-Stokes-Einstein relation. It does not involve Brownian diffusion of electrically charged particles or dipolar reorientation. Its discussion will be presented elsewhere.

    • A rigorous theoretical support for the Bjerrum equation has been provided by J.-C. Justice, Pure Appl. Chem. 57, 1091 (1985) after his analysis of the Onsager Kirkwood, and Debye-Huckel relations for transport processes in dilute solutions.

    • J.-C. Justice, Pure Appl. Chem. 57, 1091 (1985). There are a number of relations between the dissociation constant of an electrolyte in a dilute solution and the dielectric constant of the solvent. These have been variously tested and have been reviewed in Refs. 4-9 given above.
