    • The thickness of a thin-layer liquid cell (L) was controlled by setting tungsten wires (nominal diameter = 10 μm) between two glass plates and determined by the interference pattern of the Xe beam under an optical microscope. However, determination of the cell thickness was erroneous and L was in the range 10-20 μm.
