4. The decision was made not to call this part of section A "Continuing Resources" for a number of reasons. First, renaming AACR2 Chapter 12 to "Continuing Resources" was not the original plan. Although these instructions primarily cover continuing resources, they also covered some finite resources such as finite integrating resources, reprints of serials, and serial-like multipart, monographs. Finally, some constituencies did not like what they saw as a convoluted scope for Chapter 12.
