This relation generalizes beyond the elastic region to F(s)=nαn(s)T(n→ππ;s) where the real coupling functions αn represent the intrinsic γγ→ channel "n" coupling, and the complete right-hand cut is encoded in the hadronic amplitudes for intermediate state n→ππ. This is equivalent to the N/D construction, where the N function has no right-hand cut.
