    • The height profiles of the smooth surface of the PS-P4VP/5CB hybrid monolayer are shown in Supporting Information. To confirm the transfer of a PS-P4VP/5CB hybrid monolayer onto a substrate, we also performed UV absorption measurements of both the floating films on water and the transferred monolayers onto a quartz substrate. There was not much difference in spectral features between the two monolayers, showing that the LB monolayers accurately reflected the floating monolayers on a water surface.
