A systematic review of 214 studies reporting donor outcomes through January 2004. Median donor morbidity rate was 16%, with biliary complications and infections the most commonly reported. Postdonation QOL was found not to be significantly impaired. Rates of postdonation depression ranged from 0.2 to 15%.
