28. We were unsuccessful in obtaining a crystal structure, however, the white solid obtained from the reaction of NBS and LiBr in THF decomposed to pyrrolidine-2,5-dione, which was confirmed by X-ray diffraction.
29. The yields in the presence of TEMPO and BHT were 99% and 96%, respectively.
