Anterior chamber depth and the risk of primary angle closure in 2 East Asian populations
-
Aung T, Nolan WP, Machin D, et al. Anterior chamber depth and the risk of primary angle closure in 2 East Asian populations. Arch Ophthalmol 2005; 123:527-532. Proportion of eyes with peripheral anterior synechiae was inversely related to axial anterior chamber depth in both Chinese Singaporeans and Mongolian people; however, the relationship differed between the two populations, with Singaporeans exhibiting higher rates of PAS with deeper anterior chamber. The rate of PAS increased dramatically among Mongolian people as AC depth decreased below 2.5 mm. Among Singaporeans, the increase was far less dramatic.
