    • Use of equimolar of the glycosyl donor or smaller amount of tin chloride resulted in a low yield of glucosides and recovery (30-40%) of the biopterin derivative (5). Other activators such as silver triflate or boron trifluoride were also used but glycosides were obtained in much less yields.
