    • PBS was selected as a solvent to simulate a living-body environment. Fixation of MAGoxNHs in 3 % agarose gel was done to prevent it from moving down in PBS. We confirmed that gelling with agarose did not induce any difference in the relaxation times of protons using a commercial contrast agent, Magnevist (data not shown).
