    • 183W chemical shifts of polyoxotungstates are very sensitive to medium effects, such as concentration, solvent, ionic strength, and pH; therefore relatively small variations (of ca. 5 ppm) between the lacunary and the saturated POM are hardly interpreted as due to authentic chemical shift variations.
