The positions of the H atoms were optimized at the BP86/AE1 level, while all other atoms were fixed at their positions in the solid. This procedure is intended to account for the inherently different nature of equilibrium bond lengths (distances between nuclei) and X-ray-derived separations (distances between electron-density maxima), which are especially disparate when H atoms are involved.
