35. A typical procedure is as follows: A mixture of the compound 3f (2.4 g, 4.6 mmol), hydrazine hydrate (2 mL) and Raney Ni (1.5 g) in ethanol (40 mL) was stirred under reflux (TLC). The catalyst was filtered off, and the solution was treated with active charcoal followed by filtration and evaporation. Compound 4f was obtained as a yellow oil (1.78 g, 78% yield), which was used for the next step without further purification.
