    • All of the spectra presented in this paper were acquired at room tempera ture on an home-built solid-state NMR spectrometer operating at 397 MHz for protons. The transmitter, provided by Dr. D. Ruben and co workers, has digital phase, amplitude, and frequency-switching capabili ties, with a 50 ns transient switching time between the pulses, during which power was applied. In these experiments, windowless application of the pulse sequence is essential. The double resonance probe was also home-built and employs a commercially available 5 mm double bearing spinner assembly (Doty Scientific, Columbia, SC). The rf inhomogeneity experienced by the sample was in the range of 5% to 10%
