    • The direct evidence of the triplet spin state of the radical pair follows from the sign of magnetic isotope effect; it is a new and the most reliable test on the spin multiplicity.1 In particular, if the spin multiplicity of the radical pair is a singlet, we would observe the tin isotope distribution between starting molecules and products opposite to that observed experimentally.
