An error in the implementation of the LPM effect in CORSIKA was corrected in 2003 with the help of H.P. Vankov (R. Engel, D. Heck (2003), private communication). Depths of shower maximum obtained for unconverted photons with the corrected CORSIKA version 6.16 [9] that is used in the present analysis are in reasonable agreement to values given in [23] obtained with the AIRES code [28]
