We also found that the energy difference between this structure and a structure in which the magnetic moments of the Ti atoms of the adjacent hexagonal planes are inverted, is less than 4 meV per supercell. This small energy difference can be attributed to the large separation distance of 10.41 Å between these planes and lack of interaction between Ti dopant atoms over this range in ZnO.
