    • Rome: Manifestolibri, The Committee for Policies on Immigrant Integration (Commissione per Ie politiche di integrazione degli immigrati) was set up under the Ministry for Social Affairs of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to monitor developments integration following the 1998 Immigration Law. It produced two reports, 1999 and 2000. Under the centre-right government elected 2001, immigration issues have been incorporated into the Ministry for Work and Social Affairs and the Committee no longer meets. It has been noted that the Roma Italy are almost exclusively treated as an immigration issue despite the majority being Italian nationals, a fact which is indicative of their perceived non-citizenship.
