    • We have so far been unable to determine the optical purity or absolute configuration of compound 8. We are currently identifying a general synthetic route to racemic 8, which will help us to determine this. Furthermore, we hope to derivatise 8 to facilitate a determination of the absolute configuration. These studies are ongoing and will be reported in a full paper.
