This pioneering work deals with the two-variable system derived from the reversible Selkov model: A↔S, S+2P↔3P, P↔B, and concludes that "It seems that thermodynamic lows as known at present do not give us guidance in our efforts to understand the pattern selection." Our approach based on the r-GS model covers the thermodynamic aspects of the self-replicating process toward the Turing structure and changing the pattern in a self-organized manner [Fig.], implying further studies to be done.
