    • This estimate is obtained by using the empirical correlation for the free-convection heat transfer from a vertical plate;for instance, see the book by R. B. Bird, W. E. Stewart, and E. N. Lightfoot, Transport Phenomena (Wiley, New York, 1960), 331-333. However, in view of more intensive conductive heat transfer towards Al holder this parameter has no significant effect on T field as compared with the adiabatic boundary condition, ∂T∂z=0, at the front and rear side of the crystal.
