33. General procedure: dialkynylimidazoles 1a-g (30 mg) in degassed benzene (4.5 mL) were heated in sealed reaction vials in an 80-100°C oil bath with TLC monitoring until the starting material was consumed. The solvent was evaporated and the reaction products were purified by flash chromatography.
