G. Kinkead collected some interesting war stories in “Family Business as a Passion Play” (Fortune, June 30, 1980). Harry Levinson's “Conflicts That Plague Family Business” (Harvard Business Review, March–April 1971) is a classic paper on the issues faced by family members in the business. E. J. Miller and A. K. Rice have a section on family business in their Systems of Organization (Tavistock Publications, 1967). This is one of the early theoretical works in the Tavistock tradition.
