5. The two field seasons took place in January-February 2002 and 2003. The team was composed of Agnese Cavallari, Domenico Lugas, Marta Boldrin, Ilaria Mancosu, Sabrina Rossi, Luca Belfiori, students at the University of Ravenna, Facoltà di Beni Culturali, and Donatella Usai, director of the excavation.

9. We may assume that flat stones covered this grave and that they were later taken away to be reused, leaving the grave unprotected. The condition of the skull, half eroded, can be possibly explained in this way. After taking the stones away the surrounding deposit may have collapsed inside the pit covering it.
