    • 4 solutions. This observation confirms that a water molecule is bound to 1,4-dioxane (cyclic bis(oxyethylene)) exclusively with monodentate coordination. This result is readily accepted in consideration of the chair form of a 1,4-dioxane molecule, with which bidentate coordination of water is sterically unlikely.
