    • note
    • The same reaction was performed in an Ar atmosphere, and NMR spectroscopy was used in an attempt to monitor the pentacene peaks. Although the color of the reaction mixture changed to purple during photoirradiation, precipitates of pentacene appeared during the NMR measurements, and no peaks of the pentacene were observed.
