33. Note that the ultraslow optical soliton discussed here is for long (probe) pulses with a weak light intensity. It is essentially different from the soliton under a mechanism of self-induced transparency in two-level atoms [S. L. McCall and E. L. Hahn, Phys. Rev. Lett. PRLTAO 0031-9007 10.1103/PhysRevLett. 18.908 18, 908 (1967)], where a soliton forms under strong light and short pulse conditions and no EIT-like quantum interference effect is concerned.
