    • 2 solution was washed with saturated sodium bicarbonate solution (100 mL) and concentrated. Most of the time, the residue was pure (>95%); in cases where the purity was <95%, additionally rinsing the solid with ethyl ether (2 × 5 mL) gave pure (>95%) triazolone product. All compounds listed were characterized by NMR and LC/MS.
