At the time of this printing, however, a rift had emerged between the League of Families and the deputy assistant secretary of defense (DASD) for POW/MIA Affairs to the extent that the League of Families' board of directors offered a unanimous vote of no confidence in the DASD. Despite this clash in personalities, the influence of the League of Families still forces the government to be an advocate of leaving no one behind.
