    • The general drift was monitored using a set of reference points (well-recognizable patches of free water) established throughout the region of observation. It was revealed that up to 11 April, the ice massif moved quite uniformly to the South-Easter. This quasi-stationary drift was disturbed on 12-13 April by the appearance of a strong rotational component accompanied with translations along the leads. This behavior is typical for ice-cover/shore interaction.
