Stock solutions of inhibitors were prepared at a concentration of 10-200 mM (in the assay buffer) and dilutions up to 0.01 μM done with the assay buffer mentioned above. Enzyme concentrations were 0.09 μM for hCA I and hCA IV, and 0.01 μM for hCA II, Zn-Cam and Co-Cam. Inhibition constants were calculated as described by: and are the mean from three different determinations
