    • The Kugelrohr tubes (three bulbs) are handmade from 10-mm pyrex glass tubing. Samples are recovered by breaking the tubes on each side of the bubble containing the distillate. If making tubes is a problem, any micro-distillation apparatus could likely be substituted. A Kugelrohr distillation apparatus has been described: Reasonably small Kugelrohr bulbs are available commercially (Chemglass, Inc.)
