-
On July 11, 1996, the Ohio Board of Regents adopted a plan that will reduce the number of law students receiving state money and save the taxpayers $1.9 million a year. The plan ties subsidies to the grades and test scores of incoming students. See Doug Caruso, Law Student Subsidies Face Cuts at 5 Schools - State Money to Be Tied to Achievement, Columbus Dispatch, July 12, 1996, at 3B.

There is no magic to the term restructuring as I use it. Reinventing, rethinking, reordering, reconfiguring, and many other words could be used to make my point: we in the academy need to take a hard look at the identification and productivity of tenure-track faculty.
