    • Experimental partition coefficients for clinopyroxene [e.g., (35)] and Mg-rich garnet [e.g. (36)] predict a decreasing incompatibility in the order Nb > Ta ≫ Zr > Hf. These experimental results are confirmed by Nb/Ta and Zr/Hf systematics in mantle peridotites (37).
